The newlyweds looked like they were freezing as they ventured out onto the street in the trendy Tribeca neighborhood as the paparazzi looked on.

Has friendship turned to love for good pals Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber? The two cuties were spotted having a "cuddly" pancake breakfast on Thursday in Philadelphia, where TMZ.com reports that the couple sat on the same side of a booth and held hands at a local IHOP!

But before the Bieber lovers of the world lose their minds, Gomez, 18, swears that she and the 16-year-old are not romantically involved.

"It was pancakes! Oh my gosh!" Gomez told UsMagazine.com Friday at Z100's Jingle Ball in NYC. "He is one of my best friends...It was just pancakes!"

She later reiterated to MTV News that the breakfast date was nothing to speak of. "Who doesn't like pancakes?" she said. "We were both performing in the same place so we went and had pancakes together. That's all it is. All innocent."
