They're no doubt quite the peculiar pair, and now Randy Quaid and his wife Evi have claimed to be worried for their lives as they seek asylum in Canada.
The twosome - who were nabbed by authorities in an upscale Vancouver neighborhood this past week - are currently free on bond as they're scheduled to appear before officials on October 28th.
With Canadian authorities determining whether or not to hand the Quaids over to Santa Barbara, California police on outstanding warrants, Randy and Evi reportedly asked to stay up north of the border to escape "Hollywood star whackers."
Citing deceased friends including Heath Ledger and David Carridine, the couple says that those two - and six others - have been "murdered" under suspicious circumstances.
Randy added during Friday's hearing, "I love Canada. It's been a very welcoming nation to me. I would not do anything to besmirch my reputation."
