Guard your eyes, Tim Gunn! Conan O'Brien has sported your biggest fashion faux pas: jeggings!
During Gunn's visit to Conan on Wednesday, the Project Runway guru discussed how much he dislikes jeggings -- which, in case you didn't know, are leggings that look like jeans. O'Brien, in turn, offered to give the trend a try and wear a pair for an entire episode!
Since O'Brien, 47, is a man of his word, the host gave the fans exactly what they wanted and squeezed into jeggings for his Thursday broadcast. During the monologue, O'Brien tore away his black slacks to reveal the very tight attire.
To say the crowd went wild would be an understatement. Between the laughter and applause, the host attempted to continue on with his show. But even he got wrapped up in the ridiculousness of his outfit and broke character several times.
O'Brien also did a silly jig in his jeggings and pointed out how the "pants" accentuated his already abnormally long and lanky legs. He even kept the jeggings (paired with a suit jacket, shirt, tie and black shoes) on during his interviews with the Kardashian sisters and Kevin Nealon.
He later joked about his wardrobe via his Twitter: "Tonight I wore jeggings while interviewing the Kardashians. I'm never taking them off. You can pry them from my cold, Irish legs. #jeggings."
It seems O'Brien's daring fashion got the attention of the ladies. It evenn prompted singer Katy Perry to hop on her Twitter to write to the funnyman. "@ConanOBrien I'ma get ur heart racing in my skin tight #jeggings," she said, referencing a line from her hit "Teenage Dream."
