Who's the Highest-Paid Reality Star?

Who's the Highest-Paid Reality Star?

Unless you've been living under a rock in 2010, it's been nearly impossible to avoid the likes of Kim Kardashian and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino.

So, it's no surprise that the ubiquitous stars of reality television made some pretty serious bank over the past year. But who brought in the most buck?

According to The Daily Beast, that honor belongs to 30-year-old Kardashian, whose wildly popular E! shows (including Keeping Up With the Kardashians and its upcoming spin-off Kourtney and Kim Take New York), products (such as her perfume Voluptuous and the recently released book Kardashian Konfidential) and endorsements (Skechers, Kotex and Quick Trim, just to name a few) helped earn her an estimated $6 million this year alone.

Her sisters Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian made the list as well, pulling in an impressive estimated $2.5 million each. Khloe and Kourtney, who penned Kardashian Konfidential with Kim, brought in earnings thanks to their spin-off show Khloe and Kourtney Take Miami, as well as a bevy of sponsorships. (Khloe even reportedly earns thousands for sponsored tweets!)

Of course, the Kardashian ladies weren't the only ones to make the list. Coming in the no. 2 spot behind Kim is Lauren Conrad, who made the jump from reality TV (Laguna Beach, The Hills) to best-selling author. Conrad's young adult novels, including her latest Sugar and Spice, have sold more than a million copies in hardback alone. The 24-year-old earned an estimated $5 million in 2010.

Rounding out the top three is The Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel. The 40-year-old not only became a new mom in 2010, but brought in roughly $4 million, thanks to her television ventures (Housewives, Bethenny Getting Married?, Skating with the Stars), books (Naturally Thin and The SkinnyGirl Dish, which, combined, sold upwards of 230,000 copies) and her own line of SkinnyGirl products.

The list is dominated by the ladies of reality television, with eight of the top 10 being women. But some of the men of Jersey Shore snuck in. Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino ab-blasted his way to the no. 6 spot with an estimated $3 million, thanks to Jersey Shore and his stint on Dancing with the Stars.

The 28-year-old also hawked books, workout DVDs, rap songs, and even an iPhone app. In fact, sometimes all Sorrentino has to do is show up at an event to make a quick buck. His appearance fees range anywhere from $15,000-$50,000!

His Jersey Shore cast mate DJ Pauly D (whose real name is Paul Delvecchio) was no slouch this year either. Besides the nice paycheck from their show and endorsements (he got a sweet one from Baskin Robbins), the spin master can earn up to $40,000 per DJ gig.

Surprisingly enough, their house mate Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi (who took in roughly $750,000) didn't make the list. The pint-sized guidette was edged out by the likes of Audrina Patridge ($3.5 million), Kate Gosselin ($3.5 million) and Kendra Wilkinson ($2 million.)
